The staircase is a major feature of any property and as well as performing a vital function it can also be a beautiful bespoke piece of furniture. You may require a staircase for a new build, extension or loft conversion or as a replacement for an existing staircase.
As Oak specialists we use primarily English Oak for our staircases but other timbers or materials such as glass, steel and iron can be introduced as the design requires. Each design is tailored to accommodate the practical and aesthetic requirements of the location whilst creating a stunning, beautifully constructed piece of furniture. Style is determined by your taste and preference, and can be contemporary or traditional.
To begin the design process we recommend an initial meeting where we can discuss any ideas you have on style and take the dimensions of the space into which the staircase is to fit.
No two staircases are exactly the same so individual quotations are provided. The price depends entirely on the amount of work involved and the materials used.
Timber frame storage is well suited to sloping or angled ceilings and therefore is used widely for under-stairs storage. Oakleaf Joinery & Design makes beautifully crafted storage units for under-stairs which are carefully designed to meet your storage needs; this can range from more simple cupboards to retractable shelving units used to house entertainment systems or home office equipment.
